Appcast Achieves Record Growth and Strategic Momentum

LEBANON, N.H. (February 5, 2018) – As it plans for continued success in 2018, Appcast, the leading developer of programmatic job advertising technology, today shared highlights of its 2017 results.

Since its founding in 2014, Appcast has driven more than 2 billion job advertisements and generated more than 500 million applications to its clients. With Appcast's programmatic technology, nearly one thousand organizations including major employers, recruitment ad agencies and job sites have improved hiring outcomes by optimizing job postings across tens of thousands of websites and publishers which reach hundreds of millions of candidates per month. Unlike cost-per-click solutions and traditional posting tactics, Appcast leverages real-time market data and automated bidding software to enable performance job advertising that ensures recruitment marketing budgets are spent more efficiently.

In recapping the company’s 2017 achievements, Appcast CEO Chris Forman stated, “For the third consecutive year since our inception, we’ve more than doubled our revenue. During 2017, we also doubled our workforce, welcomed key additions to the leadership team and expanded in Canada, the U.K. and EMEA. We anticipate equally exciting advancements from Appcast in 2018 as we continue to define the future of recruitment advertising.”

New Product Releases

Appcast’s product innovation brought several key solutions to market in 2017, including:

·         Platform APIs for Clickcast: Ad agencies and job sites are able to improve recruitment marketing outcomes using the Clickcast “engine” to execute and measure the results of their performance job ad campaigns programmatically from within their own back end platforms and data systems.

·         Appcast Brand: Designed to address the unique recruitment marketing needs of employers, staffing agencies, and RPOs, Appcast Brand uses retargeting and audience extension models to help organizations reach candidates who have previously engaged with a company career site, ATS or job board through display and native social media advertisements.

·         Appcast Inventory: A supply-side platform (SSP) that allows job sites to optimize their performance advertising inventory for more revenue and a better job seeker experience.

Tom Chevalier, Appcast's vice president of Product, observed, "With unemployment levels at record lows, the competition for qualified talent is intense. Getting to the job seeker first can make the difference; also, being able to retarget desirable candidates who've visited a particular employer's career site or expressed interest in similar opportunities means right candidates are more likely to apply. Plus, all Appcast solutions feature deep analytics that enable effective job advertising measurement, shining a light on a significant investment that was previously difficult to properly measure.”

Strategic Organizational Growth

In 2017, Appcast added $5 million in growth financing from Baird Capital, Point Judith Capital and Silicon Valley Bank. This brings total capital raised to more than $12 million.

To support its continued growth, Appcast recruited several industry experts to join its leadership team. Chris Cummins, a sales and business development executive with extensive HR industry experience, was appointed Appcast’s Chief Revenue Officer. Cummins is based in Appcast’s new Canadian office out of Fredericton, New Brunswick.

In the U.K., Roy Jacques joined Appcast as Managing Director to drive the company’s presence throughout the U.K. and EMEA.  In this capacity, Jacques leverages his significant experience in building sales and go-to-market teams for fast-growing technology companies.

Most recently, Matt Molinari joined Appcast from Indeed as Vice President, Global Business Development. Prior to Appcast, Molinari was an early employee at Indeed and spent nearly ten years working on key partnerships to grow their business. In addition to managing employees across the U.S., Ireland, France, Germany, the Netherlands and Japan and growing Indeed’s job distribution to 4,000+ websites, he fostered and managed more than 200 ATS partnerships.

Award-Winning Solutions

During 2017, Appcast was repeatedly recognized for its exceptional products. The company was the recipient of a Best in Biz award in the “Enterprise Product of the Year - HR Software category.” Lauded as a “Star of Recruiting Innovation by the Recruiting Service Innovation Awards (ReSI),” Appcast received the “Most Innovative Recruitment Advertising Solution” award for Appcast Brand and “Innovator of the Year - Employment Site Partner” for its revenue optimization solution for job sites - Appcast Inventory.

Appcast also received the “Best SaaS Product for HR or Recruitment” award from the 2017 SaaS Awards program and was the winner in the 2016-2017 Cloud Awards Program’s “Best Cloud HR, Payroll, or ERP Solution” category.

Looking Ahead

Appcast CEO Chris Forman said, “At the core of this exciting momentum are the more than 300 new companies we welcomed to our growing customer base in 2017. Appcast is committed to helping them maximize their job advertising budgets, recognizing both return on investment and improved recruiting results.”
