HR Gives Back @ HR Tech

There’s a little saying that goes, “Where we’re going, we don’t need roads.” Perhaps you’ve heard of it.

If not, then it’s likely that you’ve missed out on the piece of cinematic excellence known as Back to the Future. The adventures of Marty McFly and Dr. Emmett “Doc” Brown are the stuff of legends (and two sequels worth of material.) Though the movie missed the mark on a few things – I am still waiting for my own personal hover board – it did do one very important thing: it took us here. Well, not right here but close enough. It took us to October 21, 2015, which will be forever known as “Back to the Future Day.”

By chance, Back to the Future Day coincides with the final day of the 18th annual HR Technology Conference and Exposition. To mark the occasion, The Devon Group is partnering with industry analyst Mollie Lombardi, Jibe SVP Mike Pauletich and hiQ’s Partner Ecosystem Director Teresa Fearis to form HR Gives Back. At, as well as leading up to HR Tech, we’ll be helping HR give back to a future without Parkinson’s disease (PD) through the Michael J. Fox Foundation. And we hope you’ll join us, one of these ways:

  • During HR Tech, swing by the exhibitor lounge, which is sponsored by The Devon Group. There you’ll have the opportunity to take a selfie with our DeLorean. Upload that pic to your social accounts and hash tag it “#HRGivesBack.” For each selfie we see, The Devon Group will make a donation to HR Gives Back (oh, and you’ll also be entered to win an Apple Watch).
  • If you’re not able to attend the conference, you can still support our very own Marty McFly (that’s me) in the HR Gives Back Virtual Marathon. Click on over to our page and help us give back to a future without PD. The Virtual Marathon event will kick off October 1 and end on (you guessed it) October 21, 2015.

Questions? Comments? A few gigawatts to spare? Tweet them @devongroup and we’ll be back to you in the near future.
