Talent Board Names The Devon Group Agency of Record For Fourth Annual Candidate Experience Awards

MIDDLETOWN, N.J. (February 12, 2014) – The Devon Group, a public relations and marketing services firm with offices in the U.S. and U.K., today announced that it has been named agency of record for Talent Board’s annual Candidate Experience Awards for the fourth consecutive year.

Since its inception, Talent Board has had a singular mission: to facilitate the evolution of the employment candidate experience. The non-profit organization achieves this goal through its annual Candidate Experience Awards, or CandE Awards. Held each year since 2011, the CandE Awards evaluate the candidate experience offered by companies throughout the entire recruitment cycle and recognize those companies that deliver an exemplary candidate experience. The CandE Awards also enable participating companies to benchmark and improve their candidate experience through valuable, relevant industry data.

The growing focus on candidate experience is clear. As today’s job candidates are more likely than ever to share the experience they have in applying to a job, whether positive or negative, with their inner circles and on the numerous social networks, more employers have recognized the benefits of improving their candidate experience. In addition to building a strong employment brand that attracts high-quality candidates, a positive candidate experience is also essential to maintaining relationships with candidates who may also be customers and brand ambassadors of the company.

Since partnering with The Devon Group, Talent Board has seen the program grow rapidly and garnered increasing attention from participating organizations and sponsoring companies alike. Employer participation in the CandE Awards has risen from 57 organizations in 2011, up to 122 participants in 2013. The number of sponsors has also grown considerably, from seven in 2011 to 17 in 2013. In addition, the program has expanded internationally, with CandE Awards programs now being held in the United Kingdom, and soon in Australia/New Zealand.

“The Candidate Experience Awards have grown tremendously in just a few short years, and The Devon Group, staffed by PR and marketing experts, knows the best way to heighten visibility and extend the reach of the CandE Awards to new audiences,” said Elaine Orler, chairman and co-founder of the CandE Awards. “An added benefit to the award program is The Devon Group’s keen understanding of HR solution providers and their role in helping employers to provide a positive candidate experience. We are delighted to partner with The Devon Group once again for the 2014 CandE Awards, and continue to highlight and recognize employers that value the importance of a positive candidate experience.”

“The ubiquitous nature of mobile technology, the growing acceptance of digital interviewing and the importance of consistent employment branding have made more organizations aware of the importance of the candidate experience. That said, the real issue is how the right talent drives desired outcomes,” said Jeanne Achille, CEO of The Devon Group. “Devon’s goal is to promote the valuable research generated by the findings of the Candidate Experience Awards to help HR and their leadership teams transform their talent acquisition processes. We look forward to supporting the Talent Board’s mission for a very successful 2014 CandE Awards program.”
